Molly Rhodin​
​Molly Rhodin has been shaping early childhood education for more than three decades - and counting.
She began her career back when “policy” was something you found in Parliament, not in preschools; before SunSmart campaigns existed; and when Assessment and Rating were just words, not capitalised events. As a director, she led services long before door codes, cameras and secure entryways - back when visitors just wandered in, and families paid $42 a day.
From birth to OSHC, Molly has seen it all, including the days when children brought their own lunches because nutrition guidelines weren’t yet a thing.
A passionate educator, she has also taught at CIT, counting many current sector leaders among her former students. Over 25 years, her articles and insights have been widely published, and she continues to be invited to speak at conferences across Australia, sharing evidence-based stories of real-world success.
An unashamed “outside-the-circle” thinker (she was never in a box to begin with), Molly co-founded Down to Earth Practical Solutions in 2014 - an educational consulting business designed to uplift and empower the sector. And it did just that.
In 2018, Molly was asked to bring her trademark energy and innovation - or, as they put it, “inject some Molly” - into NBCA, particularly Cooinda Cottage ECC. What followed was a transformative five-year project that redefined practice, culture, and quality.
Today, Molly remains exactly what she’s always been: down-to-earth, practical, engaging, and deeply committed to change that elevates the sector. Her mantra? Leverage experience, invest in innovation, and elevate your quality story.​
