Relationships and the Community
We foster each child’s connection with us, their family and the wider community because we believe that these relationships are the foundations for quality early learning.
We are committed to providing spaces that foster lifelong learning for all. We believe each child is capable and we ensure they are supported holistically in their development. We place high values on the environment in the early learning context, allowing rich, authentic experiences to occur on a full time basis.
The meaning of ‘Ngunnawal’ is we, the people, or us. We come together as a community on Ngunnawal land, valuing the importance that one another’s strengths and contributions have towards fulfilling the needs, dreams, and wishes of the children. Culture and diversity are meaningfully embedded through learning experiences, conversations and within our daily rituals.
We believe that social justice is underpinned by a belief in hope and possibilities for a socially just community and world. We enrich the lives of children through providing a welcoming environment that highlights the importance of equality, fairness, advocacy and endless opportunities for all.
We understand the importance that early childhood education has in creating a better society for the future. Our work as professionals in the field of education has a direct impact on the lives of young children, and we strive to share our knowledge through practice and professional development.
